On Saturday night, December 10th, the Dade City Merchants Association hosted the 33rd Annual Country Christmas Stroll in our historic downtown district. As a member of the Merchants Association, Makers & Shakers took the opportunity to set-up a Pop Up Shop in the downtown area.

There was plenty of holiday magic during the Stroll. The downtown shops and restaurants were open for this special event along with a Holiday Market full of guest vendors.

Visitors followed the “Cookie Trail” around town for a sample of some of Dade City’s finest cookie recipes at participating shops. There was holiday music being performed throughout the area by our local high school band, soloist “Just Sherry,” and country singer Karl Sapp. There were also dance performances by Miss Sally Blackwood’s legendary dancers.

Other activities included an old fashioned hay ride and the chance to ride around in one of our pedal cars. Mr. and Mrs. Claus made a visit to Agnes Lamb Park and we had our very own Dade City Polar Express display.

The night was finished off by the drawing for the World’s Largest Stocking that the elves had been moving around the city for the last month. A great time was had by all and the Dade City Merchants Association along with Makers & Shakers wishes you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
